Switching from Another Bank

It’s easy to become a VyStar member, and you can get started in a few simple steps. If you have any questions about switching to VyStar from another bank or credit union, give us a call at 904-777-6000 or 800-445-6289, or stop by any of our branches.

Step 1: Join VyStar and open an account

  1. Click Open an Account to begin your application, and we’ll confirm that you’re eligible for membership.

  2. Enter or upload the information below for anyone who will be an owner of the account.
    - Valid email address
    - Scanned copy of your ID, saved on your computer. Your ID must be current and valid. We accept these forms of ID:
    - U.S. driver’s license
    - U.S. state ID
    - Passport with a photo
    - Social Security number
    - Date of birth
    - Address
    - Phone number
    - Employment information

  3. Enter the information below for anyone who will be a beneficiary of the account.
    - Name
    - Address
    - Social Security number
    - Date of birth

  4. Choose the VyStar accounts that you want to open. All VyStar members must open a savings account to join, but you can also open a checking account or other additional accounts now or later.

  5. Enter the requested information for the account you will use to fund your new VyStar accounts.

Step 2: Close your old account

  1. Print and fill out the Request to Close Bank Account form.

  2. Mail the completed form to your former bank or credit union to request that they close your account.

  3. Redirect any direct deposits to your new VyStar account. The VyStar routing number is 263079276.

Step 3: Sign up for online and mobile banking

To enroll in online banking, just complete the Online Banking Enrollment process.

To set up mobile banking for your smartphone or tablet:

  1. Download the VyStar Mobile Banking App.

  2. Log into the app with your online banking username and password.

  3. Get your one-time verification code and validate by text or voice call.
