VyStar is actively monitoring the federal government shutdown, and we are here to support members who may be impacted. We will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.
Important Updates
We are committed to working with our members to provide flexible solutions such as adjusting payment dates or pausing payments temporarily. There are multiple options available.
VyStar members who meet the following criteria may be eligible for assistance:
Mortgage loan is held and serviced by VyStar
Pay is impacted by the shutdown
Direct deposit is in place with VyStar
And you fit one of these categories:
Active duty servicemember or reservist
Department of Defense employee, Federal Government Employee or contractor paid directly by the federal government

Request mortgage assistanceIf you are a VyStar member with a non-mortgage related request (including business members), contact one of our team members for support at 904-777-6000, extension 6094. We are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

VyStar is here to help with enrollment in the Federal Government Shutdown Consumer Loan Program.
Loan amounts are calculated based on the amount of the most recent direct deposit that was made to your account prior to your pay interruption.

Here is more information about the program:
Loan amounts are calculated based on two times your monthly salary
Maximum loan amount is $15,000
Max term is 24 months
No payments for 90 days. Interest accrues from date of loan disbursement
Loans will be available and disbursed only if the government fails to pay eligible members in connection with the government shutdown

Step 2: Apply for the Loan
Select Apply for a Loan/Credit Card
Choose Personal Loan
Select “I need financial assistance due to government shutdown.”
Not a Member?
Join VyStar Credit Union to unlock benefits. Once you join, applying for a Government Shutdown Consumer Loan is easy.
Step 1: Become a Member
Select the “Become a Member” button.
Complete the account opening process.
Step 2: Apply for the Loan
Once your account is active, log in to Online Banking.
Follow the steps listed in the “Existing Members” column to apply.
