Hardship & Loan Modification Assistance

At VyStar, we are committed to working with our members to provide flexible solutions such as adjusting payment dates, or even pausing payments temporarily, if that's best for your budget.

We provide the following options, and applying for the change is as simple as filling out a form.

Skip A Pay

  • Exclusively for consumer loans

  • Must be current on payments or within 10-day grace period

  • Cost is $15 per month, up to three months

  • Can only utilize feature once per calendar year (must specify how many months)

  • Must make 6 payments before first 'Skip a Pay’

  • Allow three to five business days for approval

Hardship Deferment

  • Available for consumer loans and credit cards

  • Must be 11 to 60 days past payment due date

  • Only one deferment allowed for every 12 payments

  • Must make 12 payments before first deferment

  • Soft credit pull and verification of income required

  • Allow three to five business days for approval

Due Date Change

  • Exclusively for consumer loans

  • First payment must be complete before date change

  • Can't switch due date from one month to a different month

  • Account must stay current after date change

  • Allow three to five business days for approval
