Checking & Savings Accounts

Please note: Any debit card alerts or controls that you currently have set up on your 121 Financial debit card will not convert over to your VyStar account and will need to be set up again. Please visit our Card Control page for more information.

Right Choice & Right Choice Plus Checking

If you have a Right Choice/Right Choice Plus Checking account, we sent you a letter in the mail to inform you that on Oct. 14 your account is being converted to VyStar+ Checking. The letter also included details about VyStar+ Checking and how you will be able to access your new account. You will still enjoy the same benefits such as identity theft protection, credit file monitoring, shopping and travel discounts, PLUS:  

  • A Loan Term Rate Discount (For a NEW* auto loan)

  • Fee Reimbursements (2 per year upon request)

  • Enhanced Cellular Telephone Protection

  • Dark Web Monitoring

  • Updated Credit File Monitoring

  • Updated Credit Report

  • Updated Credit Score Tracker

  • And so much more!

Basic Checking & Teen Checking

If you currently have a Basic Checking account or Teen Checking account with 121 Financial, your account will automatically be converted to the same account type and no action is needed from you. Your account will be visible in VyStar’s Online & Mobile Banking.  

Business Checking

If you currently have a Business Checking account with 121 Financial, your account will automatically be converted to a Small Business Checking account type and no action is needed from you. Your account will be visible in VyStar’s Online & Mobile Banking

Personal Savings Accounts

Your Personal Savings account with 121 Financial will automatically convert to a VyStar Savings account. No changes or updates will be made to your savings account and no action is required from you. To view your savings account after your account is converted, please enroll in Online & Mobile Banking. If you only have a 121 Financial savings account that is linked to a debit card, you will have to open a new checking account with VyStar as this is not a product that VyStar offers. You can either do this before or after your account is converted. If you currently have a savings account with both 121 Financial and VyStar, you will have two separate savings accounts. After conversion, you can choose to consolidate those accounts by calling our Contact Center or visiting a VyStar branch.  

Holiday Savings

If you currently have a Holiday Savings account with 121 Financial, the account will automatically convert over to a VyStar Holiday Savings account. Your funds will automatically be distributed on Oct. 15 to your VyStar checking account.  

Summer Savings

Summer Savings accounts are not offered by VyStar. If you currently have a Summer Savings account with 121 Financial, the account will be converted into a Holiday Savings account, and your funds will automatically be distributed on Oct. 15 to your VyStar Checking Account. 

Business Savings

Accounts Your Business Savings account with 121 Financial will automatically convert to a VyStar Business Savings account. No changes or updates will be made to your business savings account and no action is required from you. To view your business savings account after your account is converted, please enroll in Online & Mobile Banking.  

If you only have a 121 Financial Business savings account that is linked to a debit card, you will have to open a new business checking account with VyStar as this is not a product that VyStar offers. You can either do this before or after your account is converted. If you currently have a business savings account with both 121 Financial and VyStar, you will have two separate business savings accounts. 

Certificates & Money Markets

All existing Certificates of Deposit accounts will have the same interest rate and maturity date after your account is converted. There will be no changes to your Share Draft Money Market after your account is converted. See our current Money Market Rates

Overdraft Protection

Overdraft protection for your checking account will be automatically set up for you after your account is converted. Your primary savings account will protect your account. If you would like to make changes to your protected accounts, please call the VyStar Contact Center or visit a VyStar branch after your account is converted.  

Courtesy Pay

If your 121 Financial account is currently enrolled in Courtesy Pay, this will not be transferred over to VyStar when your account is converted. 

If you would like to establish Courtesy Pay, you must opt in to VyStar’s Courtesy Pay program after conversion. You can easily opt in by logging into VyStar’s Online & Mobile Banking and selecting the Profile and Settings option>Courtesy Pay and follow the prompts. 

Paper Checks

Your 121 Financial paper checks will continue to work after your account is converted. To request new paper checks, please call the VyStar Contact Center or visit a VyStar branch. Your first box of paper checks will be free of charge.
