Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has been a part of the city for more than 100 years, going from one red deer fawn in 1914 to more than 2,000 rare and exotic animals today.
About the Zoo
Spanning approximately 122 acres, the animal exhibits at the zoo include African Forest, River Valley Aviary, Giraffe Overlook and Land of the Tiger. With more than 1,000 species of plants, it is the largest botanical garden in Northeast Florida. In 2022, VyStar proudly invested $2.25 million in the VyStar SkyScape, a new entry featuring an open-air roof structure 50 feet high and covering 25,000 square feet.
