About the Zoo

Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens recently celebrated 100 years at its Trout River location. Located on 122 acres, it features exhibits such as the African Forest, River Valley Aviary, Giraffe Overlook and Land of the Tiger. Home to more than 1,000 plant species, it is the largest botanical garden in Northeast Florida.

The VyStar SkyScape opens March 6, 2026, and will transform the guest arrival experience with an immersive video screen, views into the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Manatee River, a café, retail space and flexible event amenities.
