Empowering youth in foster care with financial education. Start with the course, and once you complete it, you'll be on your way to opening a checking or savings account at your local VyStar branch.
Enroll in the programHow it Works
Enroll in the Program. Sign up for our comprehensive financial education courses, Fostering Financial Fitness.
Complete the comprehensive financial education courses. Then complete the Course Completion Acknowledgement at the end.
Receive Your Certificate. Upon successful completion of the courses and acknowledgement, receive a certificate of completion within 3-5 business days (will be sent via email).
Provide Certificate to Caseworker. Submit your certificate to your caseworker as proof of your financial education.
Judicial Review and Emancipation Order. Your caseworker will present the certificate during the regular case update in court and request an Emancipation Order (Petition for Removal of Disabilities of Nonage).
Open Your Account. Bring the emancipation order, your government ID and $5 membership fee to your local VyStar branch to open your checking and savings accounts.
