Have the convenience of accessing your funds, without writing a check, by simply swiping your debit card at the local merchant. When you use your card, you can decide to run your card as credit or debit. VyStar's Debit Card also acts as an ATM card, using your same PIN.

Debit Cards FAQ
If you are a new member who is signing up for a brand-new checking account at any VyStar branch, you will be automatically given a new Instant Issue debit card, which you can start using right away.
You can also order a new debit card by contacting the VyStar Contact Center at 904-777-6000 or 800-445-6289, option 9.
If you are logged in to Internet Banking, you can submit a secure order form for a new debit card by clicking “Settings/Service,” selecting the option for ordering a new debit card, and filling out and submitting the form.
Let us know a couple of weeks before you leave. By giving us your planned travel dates, you can avoid your card activity being suspect. VyStar’s Electronic Security Protection (ESP) offers a package of free protection that monitors what is happening with your card services.
To dispute unauthorized transactions on your VyStar Visa Debit card, contact us at (904) 777-6000 or 800-445-6289.
If you are logged in to Internet Banking, you can submit a secure dispute form by clicking on “Settings/Service,” selecting the option to fill out a dispute or stop payment form, and filling out and submitting the form.
You can also dispute charges in person by visiting your nearest VyStar branch and speaking with a representative.
One simple option for avoiding surcharge fees would be to request cash back at the point of sale (POS) when you are making a purchase. For example, when you are using your debit card to pay for your purchase at a supermarket, you can enter your PIN and request cash back.
In the event that your debit card is lost, stolen or damage, just speak with a Member Relationship Specialist at any VyStar branch location, and within minutes you’ll be handed a replacement card that’s activated and ready to use. You can immediately start making purchases at stores or online—no waiting, no hassle. Another option for reporting your lost or stolen card is to call VyStar at (904) 777-6000 or 800-445-6289.
The following ATMs do not charge a service fee to VyStar members:

- VyStar-owned and branded ATMs at 200+ locations in Northeast to Central Florida
- More than 20,000 ATMs in the United States, Canada and Mexico at Target, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Speedway, and Duane Reed retailers.

Yes. Your VyStar debit and ATM cards will still allow you to perform a transaction at any ATM. However, if it is not listed as a VyStar surcharge-free ATM, you will be assessed a surcharge fee at the ATM by the owner of the ATM—not VyStar.
Additional Options
Once you receive your VyStar Visa Debit Card, there are a few additional steps you may need to take in order to enjoy all the wonderful benefits of being a cardholder:
Activate Your Card
To activate your new VyStar Visa Debit Card, just call 800-757-9848 and follow the instructions to select your PIN number and activate your card.
Note: If you received a new or replacement Instant Issue debit card at a VyStar branch, your card is already activated and ready to use. You do not have to take any extra steps to activate your card. You can start making purchases right away!
Change Your PIN
Whether you forgot your PIN or want to update it for security purposes, changing your PIN is easy. Just call 800-757-9848 and follow the instructions to change your PIN.
You can also change your PIN at the ATM if your card is already activated and if you know your existing PIN. Just follow these simple steps:
- Insert your card into the appropriate slot at the ATM.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Select “Other.”
- Select “Pin Change.”
- Enter your desired new PIN.
- Re-enter your desired new PIN.
- Your transaction is complete. If you’d like to make another transaction, follow the on-screen instructions.

Overdraft Protection
Keeping a record of your debit card transactions will help you avoid spending more money than you have in your account. However, overdraft protection arrangements can also be made to help protect you from mistakes or miscalculations.
