Credit Cards
Your 121 Financial credit cards and business credit cards will be converted into VyStar Visa credit cards and VyStar Visa business credit cards. With a Visa® credit card from VyStar, you receive purchase protection, fraud monitoring, no foreign transaction fees and emergency assistance when you need it.
Any credit card alerts or controls that you currently have set up on your 121 Financial credit card will not convert over to your VyStar account and will need to be set up again. Please log into your Online & Mobile Banking account, click on your credit card, and then select “Notification Settings."
Credit Card Number
All 121 Financial credit card holders will be issued a new VyStar credit card and credit card number that will be sent to you via postal mail by Oct. 11. Please do not activate this card until Oct. 14 and continue to use your 121 Financial credit card until then. Please be sure to update your new VyStar card information with any merchants that may have that information on file or have automated billing (Netflix, Hulu, a gym membership, Amazon, etc.) once you activate your new VyStar credit card.
Accessing Your Credit Card Online
Once your converted VyStar Visa credit card is enrolled on VyStar’s Online & Mobile Banking, you can see your recent transactions, make payments, block and unblock cards, set travel alerts, enroll in e-Statements and more. To access your VyStar Visa credit card, you will need to enroll in VyStar’s Online & Mobile Banking after Oct. 14.
Once enrolled in Online & Mobile Banking, log in and click on your credit card number on your Online & Mobile Banking dashboard. This will take you to an enrollment page for credit cards. Once enrolled, you will be able to click on your credit card in Online & Mobile Banking going forward. As a tip, you can set up purchase alerts through Online & Mobile Banking that enables you to monitor transactions made on your account. Once logged in, click on notification settings, which will allow you to set up alerts and controls.
If you are already a VyStar member, you may already see your new VyStar credit card in Online & Mobile banking. Please note that you will be unable to make transactions on these cards until Oct. 14, and the balance will show as $0.00. Your previous 121 Financial balances will be transferred to your new VyStar credit card on Oct. 17.
Authorized Users
If you currently have authorized users on your 121 Financial credit card, they will also receive a new VyStar credit card.
Benefits
Effective Oct. 14, your new VyStar credit card will no longer provide Travel Emergency and Assistance, Warranty Manager, ID Theft and Cellular Telephone Protection. You will still receive fraud protection with your new credit card. Please visit our Credit Cards page to view all credit card benefits. If you currently have a 121 Financial rewards credit card, your rewards will be placed into a VyStar rewards credit card program. To view your VyStar rewards, log into Online & Mobile Banking after Oct. 14, click on product and offers, click uChoose rewards, and select your credit card.
Statements and Payments
e-Statements and autopayments will not convert automatically; you will need to sign up for e-Statements and set up autopay by enrolling in Online & Mobile Banking, by calling the VyStar Contact Center, or by visiting your local VyStar branch. You will continue receiving credit card statements separate from your VyStar checking/savings account statements. To avoid a late payment fee, please make at least your minimum payment due by your payment due date. If you have questions regarding your payment due date, please refer to your VyStar credit card statement.
PIN Number
Your PIN number will not be transferred to your new VyStar credit card. You will need to set up a new PIN number during the activation process. If you would like to change your PIN number on your VyStar credit card after your card is activated, please call 1-888-886-0083.
Credit Card Credit Life & Disability
Any optional Life/Disability coverages on your credit card will be terminated as of Oct. 1. If you had these coverages, please refer to the letter you received in August 2024, which outlined how to opt in to Debt Protection coverage with VyStar.
Claims
If you filed a claim with your 121 Financial credit card and it was approved, your claim will be completed after your account is converted. If you are filing a new dispute before Oct. 14, please call the number on the back of your 121 Financial credit card for assistance with your dispute. If you would like to file a dispute after your 121 Financial credit card has been closed, please visit a VyStar branch or call the Contact Center at 904-777-6000.
