Kids Club
For ages 12 and under
It’s never too soon to save, especially when it’s this fun (and free)!
We know how important it is to teach your kids respect for money’s three distinct purposes: spending, saving and sharing. By opening a Kid Club savings account for a child age 12 or under, you (and our friendly turtle, Tucker) help them discover how much fun saving can be.
Account holders enjoy:
- Savings account that pays competitive dividends: Helps kids begin to make money from their money and have a place to keep it safe. Way better than a piggy bank.
- Spend, Save and Share Bank: To encourage kids to develop their own goals, wishes and positive experiences, they will receive special money boxes to assemble and begin saving money.
- Personal Kids Club Membership Card: A great way to show they belong to a credit union and to use for future trips to the branch.
- Free Kids Passbook: Similar to a check register and designed especially for kids to help them keep track of their savings deposits and withdrawals.
- Free Coin Counting Machine: In every branch, kids can use our machines to cash in their coins for deposit into their account.
To open a Kids Club account:
- The child must be 12 years old or younger and accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or grandparent during the signup process.
- The child must be the sole member while the parent, legal guardian or grandparent must be a joint owner on the Kids Club Savings Account.
- You must bring the child’s Social Security card and birth certificate. A passport may also be used in place of a Social Security card and birth certificate.
- An ATM card must be issued in the name of the parent, guardian or grandparent.
- The optional Kids Club Certificate of Deposit (CD), if desired, must be in the child’s name with the parent, legal guardian or grandparent as a joint owner. Minimum opening amount is $100, with a maximum amount of $2,000. Funds may be added to the CD in increments of $25, up to $2,000.
