Add Apple Pay® to the list of benefits you receive with your VyStar credit and debit cards. Business debit and credit cards can also be used. Apple Pay is the easy, secure and private way to pay with your iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus or newer devices with a simple touch of your finger.
The Wallet app already stores your boarding passes, tickets, coupons, and more. Now it can store your credit and debit cards, too. To get started, you can add your credit and debit card from your iTunes® account to Wallet by following these simple steps:

Apple Pay is a payment feature integrated into the Wallet app that lets you make purchases at participating retailers with your credit and/or debit card(s) using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology on your iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 or newer devices.
NFC is a short-range wireless technology that allows two devices to quickly and conveniently exchange information at close proximity. Apple Pay uses NFC technology to transmit payment card information from your phone to a contactless payment terminal.
To add your eligible credit and/or debit card(s) to Apple Pay, follow the Apple Pay instructions here. Apple Pay provides the same benefits and protection as your physical card, with the convenience of making secure transactions on your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 or newer devices. Use Apple Pay anywhere contactless payments are accepted, or use it to make purchases within other participating apps.
When you add your VyStar credit and/or debit cards to Apple Pay, the number from your plastic card is replaced with a secure digital account number, also known as a token.
The Secure Element is a dedicated chip in the iPhone that securely stores the digital account number.
A digital account number (token) is a substitute account number that replaces your card number and is used to make secure purchases in stores and within other apps. A digital account number will not work outside of the secure payment environment.
Many VyStar Visa® credit and debit cards work with Apple Pay. Business debit cards will also work. Follow the Apple Pay instructions here to add your card. VyStar MasterCards cannot be used in Apple Pay. If you want to use Apple Pay and have a MasterCard, contact us today to discuss converting to a Visa credit card.
Apple Pay is integrated into the Wallet app, which comes pre-installed on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and newer devices. You will be given an opportunity to configure Apple Pay upon setup of your new device or installation of the iOS update when it becomes available. If you already have an established iTunes® account, the credit card that is on file will be made available to you immediately upon Apple Pay setup. You will have the ability to add additional eligible VyStar credit or debit cards using the iSight® camera to instantly capture your card details, or you will be able to enter them manually.
You can add multiple VyStar credit and/or debit cards on Apple Pay on multiple devices.
For security reasons, we may need you to provide additional verification to add your VyStar card to Apple Pay. If necessary, Wallet will tell you how to verify your card. If your information is verified, you should receive a Wallet notification that your card is ready for Apple Pay.
The first card you add automatically becomes your default payment card, but you can go to Wallet anytime to pay with a different card. If you add your card from your iTunes account with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or newer devices, this automatically becomes your default card. To change your default card, go to "Settings" on your iPhone select "Wallet & Apple Pay." You may then choose your default card.
There is no cost for Apple Pay from VyStar. However, an active data plan is required. Your credit and debit card terms and conditions will apply for purchases. VyStar does not charge any fees to add your credit or debit cards to Apple Pay. Based on your wireless plan and mobile carrier's offering, additional message and data charges may apply.
As long as you are shopping at a participating retailer, Apple Pay will work outside of the U.S. Based on your wireless plan and mobile carrier's offering, additional message, data charges and foreign transaction fees may apply.
If you need to make a return for a purchase made with Apple Pay, you can receive a refund to your account. The key difference is that you may be asked to provide to the cashier the last four digits of your Device Account Number instead of the last few digits of your card number. To find the last four digits of your Device Account Number for your card, visit the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings,” or view the back of your card in the Wallet app.
You can add your card to multiple Apple Pay wallets. However, for security purposes, your activation code will always be sent to the primary cardholder.
You can remove your debit or credit card from Apple Pay by selecting the card in Wallet, then click on the "info" icon in the bottom-right corner to view the back of the card. Scroll to the bottom to find the "remove card" option. This will instantly remove it from Wallet and the Secure Element where the digital account number is securely stored on the device.
If your phone is lost or stolen, you can suspend Apple Pay by using the Find My iPhone app or visiting www.icloud.com and selecting the option for "Lost Mode." If you find your phone, you can un-suspend Apple Pay by following the prompts on your phone or via Find My iPhone app. If your phone has been stolen, you will be given the option to "Erase All" on www.icloud.com. This will delete all cards from Apple Pay and the Secure Element.
Please call VyStar immediately at (904) 777-6000 or 1 (800) 445-6289, option 2. We will close your card so that no more purchases can be made. You should also remove the lost or stolen card from Wallet using the “Remove Card” option. When you receive your replacement card, you will need to add the new card to Apple Pay before making any Apple Pay purchases.
If you replace or update your device, you will need to add your card(s) again to Wallet as a new Apple Pay setup.
Apple Pay works with chip and signature cards.
Apple Pay is locked when the device is locked. A device passcode or Touch ID is required per transaction in order to use Apple Pay.
Purchases made with your VyStar credit or debit cards have VyStar Zero Liability protection for any unauthorized card transactions. This means that you will not pay for any unauthorized transactions as long as they are reported promptly. Certain limitations apply. Please see your cardholder agreement for complete details.
You can make a return the same way you would with your plastic card today by contacting the merchant directly. We do recommend you bring the device that was used when the purchase was made with Apple Pay.
You can add any eligible VyStar credit or debit cards on Apple Pay, including cards that you may have already loaded on other digital wallets. VyStar MasterCard credit cards cannot be used in Apple Pay.
This service is not currently available.
Yes. You can load up to eight cards on Apple Pay. However, VyStar MasterCard credit cards cannot be used in Apple Pay.
