Location controls allow your card to be used within a certain geographical area. You will be able to set up three types of location controls: "My Location," "My Regions" and "International."
To set your location controls:
- Within the VyStar Card Control App, select the card you want to set up controls for.
- Click on “Control Preferences.”
- Tap “Locations.”
- Toggle the My Location, My Region or International control to enable a location control for your card.
"My Location" Details:
Once set, the location control will compare your location to a merchant or store’s location to decide if a transaction should be approved. Transactions made at locations that are different from your location are denied. Your location is determined by your mobile device.
"My Regions" Details:
The "My Regions" selection allows you to define up to three geographical areas where in-store transactions can be made. Regions have a radius of at least 5 miles. Any transactions attempted outside of the defined region will be denied.
Once you enable “My Regions,” you’ll be able to click the + button to add your specific regions through an interactive map. You must add at least one region to use this feature.
"International" Details:
When the "International" location control is set, any transactions outside of a designated country will be denied. You can add a country by clicking the + button. If no countries are adding, all international card-present transactions will be denied.
Note: Location controls are applicable only to in-store, when your card is presented for transactions. Location is based on your phone’s location.
