Whether you’re taking a trip for business or pleasure, and whether that trip is last minute or planned, VyStar is now offering an option that will help you cross one item off your travel prep to-do list. With VyStar’s new self-service travel notification feature for credit cards, members have the ability to set their own travel notices through Internet & Mobile Banking, instead of having to call into our Contact Center or stop by a branch to notify a representative of their travel plans. This new feature not only offers members convenience, but it also offers them a peace of mind and sense of independence, knowing their plans are in their hands.
This service helps us better hone in on fraudulent activity and eliminates the possibility of a member’s credit card getting disabled due to unusual activity when they are actually traveling. It also eliminates the possibility of a member’s travel notice getting miscommunicated or lost in translation, since this service allows you to cut out the go-between and take your plans into your own hands. This service is not yet available for debit cards. Read below to learn how to set and remove your own travel notifications.

If you are traveling to multiple destinations in one trip, be sure to relay your plans in the “Where are you going?” field. An example of a travel description with multiple destinations might look like this:
DEPARTURE DATE: May 01, 2020
RETURN DATE: May 11, 2020
WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Traveling from Jacksonville, Florida to Santa Monica, California from May 1st through May 5th, then traveling to Washington, D.C. from May 6th through May 10th.
Please note: Only one travel note can be active per card, and existing travel notes cannot be edited. If you need to edit an existing travel note, you will have to delete it and resubmit a new one.
