During June, VyStar will take steps to further improve the security of our website and Internet & Mobile Banking. As a result, a small segment of our members who use older Internet browsers will be required to upgrade their browsers in order to access these VyStar platforms.
VyStar will be implementing the most recent version of Transport Layer Security, TLS 1.2, which is an encryption protocol used to establish a secure online communications channel and protect sensitive data. Because of their widespread use online, earlier versions of TLS (also known as Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL) have recently been found to be vulnerable targets for cyber attackers—putting organizations at risk of being compromised. Therefore, it is critical that all organizations, including VyStar, disable SSL/Early TLS and upgrade to the more secure TLS 1.2.
Recent versions of Internet browsers support TLS 1.2; however, older versions either do not support it or do not enable it by default. If you have an older Web browser, including any of the following, you may receive an error message when trying to access the VyStar website or Internet & Mobile Banking as we implement TLS 1.2 during June:
