Data breaches have become all too common these days, with hackers making headlines by stealing credit and debit card information from everyday people. At VyStar Credit Union, we take threats like these very seriously. That’s why we’re beefing up our security with a bigger, better fraud prevention system.
Previously, you would have received a digital voice call, email or personal call from a live agent if fraud was suspected. Our new, automated system allows you to also receive free fraud text messages on your cell. This allows us to reach you faster with the tools and information you need to immediately identify potential fraudulent activity—and stop it in its tracks. The system features:
When suspicious activity has been detected on your account, we don’t wait for an agent to dial your number—our automated system will contact you by text, email or phone.
You can take action the second you receive your alert by texting the provided command word, or by interacting with the automated system on the phone.
Our live agents are ready to assist you at any time to ensure you receive the best defense exactly when you need it.
There is no need to sign up. As a member of VyStar, you are automatically eligible to receive this service. All you have to do is log in to Internet Banking and review and update your contact information to ensure you will receive these important fraud alerts. If you have further questions about fraud alerts or any other fraud monitoring services provided, please do not hesitate to call us at (904) 777-6000 or 1 (800) 445-6289 to speak with a VyStar representative.
Visit our Protection Center to learn more about how VyStar protects you, and how to protect yourself, against fraud.
Message delivery can depend on the service area and wireless carrier. VyStar does not charge a fee for the fraud text alert service; however, standard text message and data charges may apply. If you are unsure about your mobile carrier’s rates, please contact your service provider.
